JOB PURPOSE: The Accounting and Tax Compliance Officer shall be responsible for the overall tax management of the company. Monitor, review, and conduct analysis on tax planning opportunities and strategies, tax risks, and other tax issues He/ She will be the point person for the coordination of external parties and internal customers with regards to queries and assessments.
JOB SCOPE 1. Collaborating with colleagues and ensuring that everything is in compliance with relevant law and regulations. 2. Actively engaging in improving efficiency of certain processes within the company. 3. Compiling of statutory accounts and tax returns.
Others:
Performs other functions that may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Principal Accountabilities Supporting Information Internal Control • Ensure that controls are in adherance to industry standards, regulatory requirements and corporate policies Compliance Fulfillment • Ensure that the company adheres 100% to all government agencies requirements (BIR, SEC, SSS, Philhealth, Municipal office, etc.) Filing of documents • Ensure safekeeping of confidential documents and information for fast access when required Monthly Closing • Submit correct reports to local, regional and HQ offices on a timely basis
QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE /SKILLS Education
Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy preferably CPA. Experience
Expertise in Vat, Income Tax Return, Withholding Tax Compensation and Expanded and Registration compliance.
Updated with the latest BIR Regulations, orders, circulars and implementing rules related to distribution and wholesaling.
Has knowledge with SEC, BIR bookkeeping requirements, registration and report requirements.
