JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Analyzes current buying systems and create the best methods for day-to-day procurement
operations - Overseeing the procurement department, establishing Buyer goals based on corporate
inventory needs and sales projections for the coming year and setting career objectives for each
member of the procurement team - Propose improvements to the current procurement system that will improve vendor
relationships and lower the cost of doing business - Collaborate with inventory control and sales to develop metrics for gauging inventory level
needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year - Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help
offset losses - Manage the company’s day-to-day procurement activities and ensure that all staff are meeting
their personal performance standards - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management and other
related/equivalent courses - At least 5 – 7 years of experience in Procurement functions, management and procedures.
- Relevant work experience in IT industry and office fit-out
- Strong connection with vendors and manufacturers
- Strong knowledge in supply chain management required
- With project management background & skills an advantage
- Able to work with minimal supervision and can work under pressure
- Good oral and written communication skills and can coordinate effectively
