JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Reviews business requirements and evaluates document based on accuracy and completeness.
- Logs defects and ensures document is updated appropriately
- Contributes to the identification and assessment of risks and exposures for applications. Uses
- Application Risk Assessment as input into all testing activities
- Participates in design reviews and has a basic understanding of application and system designs
- Defines test strategy and is able to identify an efficient testing approach
- Develops and maintains test plans (including identifying test situations/scenarios) for complex projects
- Identifies test tools and defines processes on projects
- Provides estimates for duration of activities and resources needed to execute the test plan
- Designs and creates test case documentation including test situations, data setup, execution steps and expected results
- Executes test cases for various types of testing including function, conversion, integration,
- regression and performance
- Logs and manages defects and issues until they are resolved (e.g. use of Application Lifecycle
- Management, Test Incident Report)
- Provides User Acceptance Testing support to the business users
- Prepares test status reports and maintains good communication with Project Manager
- Coordinates the testing activities for projects including assigning work to resources
- Coaches and mentor other testers involved in the testing activities
- Participates is plans to improve and maintain test environment
- Creates and maintains regression models
- Identifies and implements testing efficiencies through test automation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 – 5 years of software testing experience. CMMI experience would be an advantage.
- Functional / Manual / Automation
- Familiar with different software Development Tools (HP ALM/ QTP, etc.)
- Insurance background and advanced SQL scripting skills
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Experience in INSURANCE/ BANKING (projects or clients) is highly preferred.
