Business Development Officer



  1. Responsible for selling and marketing the Subic Port’s business services to potential partners/clients Sustain and develop new customers
  2. Provide technical and sales assistance to customers and partners
  3. Keep abreast of developments in the market and competition and rectify efforts to accomplish or improve upon budgeted results
  4. Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with Government Agencies (BOC and SBMA)
  5. Provide technical assistance to customers
  6. Lead industry-related conventions and forums
  7. Attend business and industry conventions
  8. Address customer service feedback and close customer’s concerns
  9. Communicate to the team in addressing customer’s concerns and improve the quality of service
  10. Establish and review business service pricing considering existing market conditions, service capacity available, and quality to provide customers with an affordable yet competitively-priced service
  11. Develop a strong Sales Plan for the assigned scope, forecasting sales
  12. Prepare status reports as required, detailing sales, calls, customer trends, and competitive markets and pricing (Client Dashboard)
  13. Create a Sales and Marketing expense budget and annual sales plan in cooperation with operations
  14. Present periodic Management Update Reports
  15. Explore new customer prospects and product applications (Website Development)


  1. Bachelor’s degree preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Customs Management, and any Business-related courses, etc.
  2. At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in the Port Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Customs or direct-selling experience and customer management
  3. Must be customer-focused and have excellent English Communication Skills (both oral and written).
  4. Thorough knowledge of customers within area of coverage
  5. Must have strong interpersonal skills and a sense of urgency
  6. Must have strong influencing skills
  7. Enthused to learn
  8. Problem-solving and Analytical Skills and ability to make sound recommendations
  9. Out-of-the-Box Thinking
  10. Project Management Skills
  11. Drive Business Processes
  12. Ability to quickly establish rapport with Co-workers, Leaders, and Stakeholders
  13. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.) and other Communication Tools
  14. Able to drive and has a valid and updated driver’s license
  15. Willing to travel to local and offshore Customer and ICTSI terminal sites
